behind the great wall of china

Listened to Keith Benjamin on John Furrier's infoTalk podcast on my way in to work today. Thought Keith had a few nice soundbites and a couple of interesting insights about greed, fear, China and more. So I wanted to drop him a line, but no luck.Sfventure_1

First, I can't access Keith's blog - it's blocked by the proxy here at work as a sex site. Trying to track down which proxy our company is using, but no answer from our admin yet. We've had this with a few other corporate sites in the past. Guess our vendor's categorizations aren't so hot.

Second, I can't access the Levensohn Venture Partners site. The server is timing out which usually means that the famous Chinese firewall (a.k.a. The Great Wall of China, a.k.a. The National People's Firewall) is blocking the site.

So I use Proxify to get there anonymously hoping to grab Keith's email address. I can see/read his blog and his info at the firm site, but no direct contact info. It does seem to confirm China's stance on the Levensohn site though. Well, still have another chance... except as a non-subscriber, I can't post to Proxify and therefore can't add a comment to get in touch with him.

That just leaves posting here, hoping that Keith has a feed for content with his name in it and will get in touch if his interested. Such is life behind the new, not so great wall.
